The company will open applications to accept startups to its exclusive program at the Augmented World Expo

Santa Clara, California — May 30, 2019 — Today, XR Ignite announced the launch of a new community hub designed to accelerate the virtual, augmented, and mixed reality (XR) industry by bringing the best industry leaders and technology to the forefront and connecting them with global enterprises and markets.

“When you factor in savings as well as revenue, over $1 trillion of value will be created by XR technologies over the next 10 years,” commented XR Ignite CEO Alan Smithson. “While laying the groundwork for our first accelerator cohort in September 2019, we realized a need for startups everywhere to work together collaboratively, and for companies to have access to these products and services as fast as possible. We’re launching the XR Ignite community network because we believe in the power of these technologies to unlock new realities for global business and education.”

The XR Ignite community program is open to all XR startups including the fields of virtual, augmented, and mixed reality, computer vision, machine learning, photogrammetry, 3D models, spatial computing, spatial audio, haptics, game engines and tools.

XR Ignite’s board of esteemed advisors and mentors will select member companies based on a number of criteria to ensure the highest level of quality and potential collaboration.  Candidates of the program can expect access to customers, mentors, and talent with the goal of driving the entire industry forward. Corporate partners will have direct access to these vetted companies through a proprietary matching system.
